Parenting Education Workshops

Promoting Positive Parenting through Parent Education.

Program 2

The Parenting Education Program uses the evidence-based Active Parenting Now curriculum developed by Active Parenting Publishers Inc. These three (3) week parenting education workshops teach parents and caregivers simple and practical techniques that can reduce stress and eliminate the arguments often associated with disciplining children. Through the workshops, parents will develop more appropriate expectations for their children, learn how to teach children with empathy, and nurturance, and how to respond to and effectively manage their child’s behavior. Parents will also learn how to provide opportunities for children to grow through mistakes and to learn from the consequences of their choices.
